The Sportsman's News team searched high and low for the hottest new products at the National Shooting Sports Foundation's Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trades Show in Las Vegas, NV in January. These are our picks for gear you will definitely want to look at for yourself. Keep in mind that these are brand new products and it may take a while for them to make it to the shelves of Sportsman's Warehouse.
Designed and built from the ground up at the SIG SAUER research and development facilities in New Hampshire with the input of hunters, military snipers, and elite long-range shooters, the CROSS rifle was created to meet the demands of both precision long-range shooting and extreme backcountry hunting.
The Cross is available with a 16-inch barrel in .308 and the new hybrid 277 Sig Fury round. It is also available with an 18-inch barrel in the popular 6.5 Creedmoor. It weighs just 6.5 pounds and comes with a folding and adjustable precision stock and a single-piece receiver for improved accuracy. And best of all, it is designed and built in the U.S.A.
While technically not a new rifle, Browning has expanded its offering for this premium semi-custom made rifle into three new calibers that will be of interest for long-range shooters. Now in 6.5 PRC, 30 Nosler, and .300 Remington Ultra-Magnum and with new Cerakote finishes in Titanium or Burnt Bronze. These new setups will turn heads as well as drive tacks, with a total of 11 calibers to choose from.
Another new twist on an older gun, the beauty of Benelli's 828U shotgun is now available in the easier shooting 20 gauge. We have had this pistol in-hand for a couple of months now and have put several thousands rounds downrange.
