ALPS OutdoorZ has just added a great little bino harness to go with their ever so popular EXTREME line. The first thing that caught my attention was the slim profile design. Some of the options out there can be fairly bulky and I find them more of a hassle than a benefit. This is not the case with the Bino Harness X.

It boasts a low profile design, along with a streamlined, fully adjustable harness that is not bulky, making this a very well thought-out bino harness system that comes in at a comfortable 10 oz. The harness system eliminates weight at the shoulders, while still keeping everything tight to your chest. I have been testing out the system for the last few months and never had it move out of place. It stays put and I don’t find myself readjusting it on a regular basis, compared to others on the market.

The 1680D Nylon Ballistic Fabric makes it highly durable. Over this past spring and summer, it has shown minimal signs of wear. The extra-padded back that sits up against your chest has a netting fabric that helps on those hot days. I never find myself sweating more from the bino harness sitting up against my chest. That little extra quality goes a long way for comfort while out in the field.

There is no need for different sizes with the adjustable closure, making it a good fit for a variety of bino options out there on the market today. The Bino Harness X also keeps your binos from falling out when bending forward with the bungee cord securing the adjustable closure in the closed position. The non-metallic binocular attachment straps are quiet and come with a quick disconnect that make it easy to detach your binoculars when needed.

They have also included a front zipper pouch with an enclosed lens cloth for keeping your lens clean at all times. It is attached by a cord, so there is no reason to ever be without one. On one side of the bino harness is an open pouch that securely carries a bottle of wind checker. The other side has four lashing points to secure extra accessories when needing to attach other items.
Overall, I am impressed with the design and quality of the ALPS OutdoorZ Bino Harness X and I would definitely recommend that you check it out for yourself at your local Sportsman’s Warehouse.
